Bad Hair In Idaho

                                                                                 

I know the wind blows all the time in Idaho so maybe that is why Katelyn, Lizzie and Trey's hair all look so funny.  Or maybe it is the water in Idaho.  Actually it was spirit week at school and all of the kids were supposed to come to school with a weird hairdo.  I think the Wilkes kids should have won the prize because those are really some weird hairdos.  Good job mom.

Cute Story

"I had to post this concerning Trey, who is 6 in December.  The Wilkes children, Katelyn, Lizzie and Trey were discussing swear words one day while driving in the car.  Katelyn and Lizzie were patiently explaining to little brother Trey that the word Dam is a swear word, unless you use it as in the Hoover Dam.  A lengthy explanation went into explaining it was okay to say Hoover Dam but not just the word dam.  They had been to see Hoover Dam this summer.  A few days later at the dinner table as Amy is trying to get the food on the table, Trey pipes up and says, 'Mom hurry up I am Hoover Dam hungry.'  Oh out of the mouths of babes."

Dance!

I love watching my girls dance. It brings me such peace and joy! So greatful to the instructors at Branchville Dance Centre who have been able to pass their talents and love of Dance on to my daughters!

Sweet Little Makai

Makai is out of surgery an all went well.  The doctor said everything went fine and he should be okay.  Here he is in recovery coming out of the anesthesia.  Kayleen said he kept holding onto the bars.  I remember doing that when I have had surgery.  Well let's all thank Heavenly Father that all went well.

How to Break Gamma Lene's Heart

Little Makai had to be in the hospital today for a little surgery.  Well the very competant medical staff made some boo boos and got confused.  The surgery could not take place today so now it is scheduled for tomorrow.  Little Makai has to go through it all over again tomorrow.  Good thing Gramma Lene was not there, cause those who know Gramma Lean and hospitals there might have been some medical staff in need of their own medical care.  Let's just hope little Makai is okay and all goes well.  So anyone who reads this please say a prayer for him.

Here he is eating some crackers after not being able to eat all day because they thought they might do the surgery sometime today.  Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!  When they told mommy she could take Makai home the nurse walked out and mommy had to say "excuse me he still has the IV in his arm.  Do ya think you could take it out."  DAAA

Trip to Idaho and Utah

 PopPop and Grandma Lene made a trip out to Idaho and Utah to see all of the Grands.  Here is Miss Hailey enjoying her spaghetti.  As you can see she is enjoying every bite.

We went out to eat in Pocatello with John and Amy.  Here is Braden enjoying his milk shake.  And it was HIS milkshake.  He did not want to share with anyone.













Grandma Lene got to go with Maya to her dance class and Maya was the best one in the class.  Here she is practicing her teddybear routine.

Amy has shared some pictures of the wonderful Wilkes Grands.  These pictures were not taken while PopPop and Grandma Lene were visiting, however we are very happy to have them.

PopPop and Grandma Lene went out to Idaho because Katelyn and Lizzie were performing in "Sleeping Beauty" which their dance school was performing.  Well we just had to go after Katelyn called and said "Grandma will you come watch me in Sleeping Beauty, so here are a few pictures.  How can you say no to that.

Of course Grandma Lene thought Katelyn and Lizzie were the best.
